MicroFoil effectively reflects a heat source as opposed to absorbing and dissipating it as fiberglass insulations do. This reflectivity works both ways: radiating summer heat outward and retaining winter heat inside. What's more, MicroFoil is made with MicroFoam that has a melting point of 320° F.

Easy to Use - (New Patented Self-Taping) - Because MicroFoil is made with plies of MICROFOAM (an extremely low-density, flexible polypropylene foam), it is much lighter weight and easier to handle than other reflective or fiberglass insulation products. Practically Eliminates - Bird and insect infestation. Condensation Control - When installed correctly, MicroFoil provides an excellent thermal and vapor barrier, greatly reducing condensation build-up. Simple, Safe Installation - MicroFoil requires only a pair of scissors or utility knife and a staple gun. It does not require masks or long clothing for installation. MicroFoil rolls are available with foil on both sides, or with foil on one side and fire retardant white polypropylene backed foil on the other side. Rolls come in 48" or 72" widths.

MicroFoil has a patented self-sealing tape on a foil flange running along one edge to make installation fast and easy. A utility knife and a staple gun are the only tools necessary. No need for protective clothing and masks. MicroFoil does not contain hazardous chemicals or harmful materials that cause itching or respiratory problems. MicroFoil is safe and easy to use.

Read This Before You Buy: The chart shows the R-value of this insulation. R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. Compare insulation R-values before you buy. There are other factors to consider. The amount of insulation you need depends mainly on the climate you live in. Also, your fuel savings from insulation will depend on climate, the type and size of your house, the amount of insulation already in your house, and your fuel use patterns and family size. If you buy too much insulation, it will cost you more than what you’ll save on fuel. To get the marked R-value, it is essential that this insulation be installed properly.
